Recently, I attended a seminar over the weekends and was totally awed by the speaker. What I thought to be an ordinary seminar turned out to be somewhat inspiring and challenging.
On the day I turned up for the seminar, I was suprised to hear Hillsong music played loudly over the auditorium and soon after the seminar began, the speaker was boldly proclaiming his faith in Jesus and completely attributed his success to God. That man made a very deep impression in my life hence on. He is a very rich and successful man and yet wasn’t ashame of publicly proclaiming God in the presence of about 200 people. On my last day of the seminar, the speaker even prayed for blessing over the lives of all the attendees. Something no other secular seminar would do!
Truely that man shows what it meant to be a marketplace christian and to be a light of the world and salt of the earth. I’m truely inspired.

Kai Shian and June tied the knot on 18th May 2008 Sunday at the Stamford Ballroom in Swisotel. It was a lovely evening and a happy occassion.
Both the groom and bride looked extremely lovely that evening with their ostantatious gowns. God bless them with a happy marriage and congratulations to you both once again!!

Strangely enough, recently, I am brought to a place in my life where I believe God is going to do somethng great and possibly a turning point in my journey with Him.
I have been through some rather challenging events lately and have been fasting and seeking Him. Somehow, I do sense in my spirit that God is challenging me to rise up in my faith in Him and I am trying to make sense of Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you“. It is indeed a very difficult verse to understand, especially with out human intellect. I mean, how on earth am I supposed to put aside all my worries of earthly needs such as food, clothing, money etc and totally devout myself to seeking God? Is He going to rain down money from heaven into my bank account or do I expect my fridge to be miraculously filled with groceries?
So I have been thinking…but after some time and guidance from the Holy Spirit, I finally get it. No, God isn’t saying that I should heck care about my earthly needs and throw the problem back to Him as if God is some kind of Santa Clause who has to fulfill my needs and desires. I need to be responsible for my own life and my provisions. I still need to work and earn money and I also have to excercise wisdom in my finances. That is my responsibility and I cannot shake that off.
What Mat 6:33 really means is that we should always look to God as the dominating factor in our lives. He has to be in the centre of everything. Either God is Lord of All or He is not Lord at All. We have to learn not to worry about our problems and stop focusing on our mountains of problems. As we walk with God everday, praying and seeking Him earnestly and believing that He will be faithful to answer all our needs in life, God surely will provide and take care of it all. Today. I am going to make a decision to make all things, including my most pressing problems pale in comparison to looking unto God.
What about you?
